A Tale of Two Honeybees

This is a guest post written by two of our Mobee Bees, Shushmita Hoque and Clay Mangiameli

When it comes to dates, my boyfriend and I like variety. After five years, the “dinner and a movie” theme has gotten a bit old, and there’s only so much TV we can watch together until our eyeballs fall out. Therefore, we turned to something different.

In comes Mobee, which is not only a great moneymaker but also a fun, albeit unconventional, activity to engage in as a couple.

Doing the Missions

Going in as a couple is ideal for those sometimes nerve-wracking appliance missions. My boyfriend and I like to role play and pretend that we’re either in the market for a new home or have just bought one. It makes talking to someone much more realistic, and it’s easier for me to snap a quick picture while my boyfriend is talking to an employee.

The added benefit is that we’ve learned so much from some employees about different types of appliances that we now have a leg up when it comes to shopping for them in real life. We feel much more knowledgeable with regard to washers, dryers, refrigerators, and even robot vacuums!

Even the usual Show Me the Honey Mission is a lot faster when you tag team taking pictures and scanning UPCs. My boyfriend is also an excellent human shield so I can take pictures without being too obvious.

How to Get the Most Out of Mobee

Work on teamwork! One of the most unexpected things about Mobee is how it has helped my boyfriend and I become a better team. We’re better at working together efficiently, and we’ve learned a lot about each other, especially when it comes to what we look for in big-ticket items such as household appliances and other products in general.

Double the achievements! Take turns doing the missions to even it up or assign one person to do all the missions for each store so you can rack up those achievements faster. Once I earn all the achievements for Target, for example, my boyfriend takes over all the Missions for that store so he can get that achievement money too.

Wanting to go to a fancy restaurant? Use the money you earn to pay for your next meal. Often, my boyfriend and I will complete as many Mobee missions as we can around the area and use that to subsidize a nicer meal. For example, if we do eight missions on a Friday night and earn $30, we might go to a fancier restaurant.

Rack up those travel bonuses! Another way you can maximize the fun and earnings is to use Mobee on road trips. It’s a great way to break up a long drive if you have the time. We often take turns in our apps to help maximize the travel bonuses as we make pit stops in different places.

Overall, Mobee is something that can be fun for people in all types of relationships. To be fair, my boyfriend and I are both thrifty, so we definitely have similar interests. We’re all about the promo codes and the savings, but Mobee adds another active dimension to our fun. Plus, we’re making money to add to our rainy day fund!

Do you want to make money from your phone? Mobee pays you in rewards to shop at your favorite stores and retailers. Check us out on our website, the iTunes Store and the Google Play store today!
